Enigma vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Getting caught in a Black Hole is usually a death sentence, but for Spectre it's often an opportunity. Her Haunt allows her to instantly create an illusion next to the channeling Enigma and, if needed, jump to it herself to cancel his ultimate from anywhere on the map. This completely flips the script on Enigma’s most important ability. Even if Spectre herself is caught inside the Black Hole, her natural durability from Dispersion can sometimes let her survive the full duration. The constant threat of a Haunt response makes it incredibly risky for Enigma to commit.

This dynamic shapes the entire mid and late game. Enigma is forced to play around Spectre's ultimate, constantly checking if Haunt is on cooldown before looking for a fight. A successful Black Hole often requires catching Spectre without her ultimate or bursting her down first, which is a tall order. Meanwhile, the Spectre player can farm aggressively and split the map, knowing she holds the trump card for any major engagement. She dictates the tempo, and Enigma is forced to play reactively, waiting for a perfect window that may never come.
