Enigma vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Farming the map becomes difficult for a Windranger who has to constantly worry about Black Hole. Her main defensive spell, Windrun, provides high physical evasion and movement speed, but does little against Enigma's ultimate. Evasion is useless against the magical damage, and once she's caught in the area of effect, the speed boost won't save her. This puts all the pressure on her to land a clutch Shackleshot to cancel the channel, which can be unreliable and tricky to land under pressure.

This threat from Enigma dictates how Windranger can play the mid and late game. She's forced to stay on the outskirts of fights, unable to commit fully until Black Hole is used or she sees a clear shot to interrupt it. On the other hand, during the earlier stages of the game, Windranger can comfortably deal with Enigma's Eidolons. Windrun lets her ignore their physical damage completely, making it hard for him to pressure her out of lane or jungle. The matchup often comes down to whether Windranger can survive long enough to get her key items and find that perfect stun.
