How this matchup plays

Catching Io inside a Chronosphere is a huge problem, as it often means his tethered carry is trapped there as well, with no hope of escape. The entire fight hinges on this moment. However, a well-played Io can completely negate this threat. With good positioning and reaction time, Io can use Relocate to get himself and his ally out before the Chronosphere even lands. If the Chronosphere is slightly misplaced, Tether can also be used to pull a core to safety from its edge. The interaction isn't one-sided; it's a direct test of initiation versus reaction.

The mid-game becomes a battle over vision and positioning. Faceless Void wants to play from the shadows, finding the perfect angle to trap Io and his partner together. In response, Io's team will try to maintain vision and keep their cores spaced out, forcing Void to choose a single target for his ultimate. If Faceless Void commits Chronosphere and fails to secure a key kill, Io's team can easily turn the fight.
