Nature's Prophet vs Monkey King

How this matchup plays

Trying to trap Monkey King with Sprout often gives him the exact thing he wants: trees. His ability to jump through the canopy with Tree Dance means that Nature's Prophet's primary lockdown tool can become an escape route or even a setup for a counter-attack. Monkey King doesn't mind being surrounded by a wall of wood. This interaction flips a core part of Prophet's kit on its head, turning a gank attempt into a dangerous situation for Prophet himself, who is fragile and lacks a reliable escape once his teleport is on cooldown.

This dynamic punishes Nature's Prophet's typical split-pushing game plan. When he teleports to a lane to apply pressure, Monkey King is one of the better heroes to hunt him down. A common scenario is Prophet trying to Sprout and Teleport out, but MK can use those new trees to jump in and cancel the channel with Boundless Strike. To succeed, Prophet has to be much more careful about his positioning and vision control, making sure he sees Monkey King on the other side of the map before committing to a push. Monkey King, meanwhile, can play aggressively, knowing he has a natural advantage in skirmishes.
