Gyrocopter vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Getting hit by any of Venomancer's spells feels like a death sentence. Gyrocopter relies on movement speed to get into position for Rocket Barrage and to kite enemies with Flak Cannon, but Venomancer’s constant slows from Poison Sting and Venomous Gale strip that advantage away. This leaves Gyrocopter stuck in the open, taking heavy damage over time without being able to effectively fight back or escape. Plague Wards add to the misery by blocking paths and providing vision, making it nearly impossible for Gyrocopter to find a safe angle of attack or even farm a lane without constant pressure.

This difficult dynamic starts in the laning stage and never really lets up. Gyrocopter struggles to secure farm and is always at risk of being killed by a single gank. As the game progresses, Gyrocopter’s goal is to get a Black King Bar and run at the enemy team. However, Venomancer’s Poison Nova pierces spell immunity, which means that even if Gyrocopter survives the initial burst, he’ll be left with critically low health after his BKB wears off, unable to continue fighting or push objectives. Gyrocopter needs his team to provide a dispel or save, whereas Venomancer simply needs to exist to make Gyro's life miserable.
