Gyrocopter vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Activating Flak Cannon often puts Gyrocopter in a position where Zeus can unload a full spell combo from a safe distance. Zeus’s entire kit is based on long-range magical burst, which preys on Gyrocopter's low health pool and his need to get relatively close to deal damage. Even Gyro’s own magical output from Rocket Barrage is not as reliable or as punishing from afar. This fundamental range and damage-type mismatch makes it difficult for Gyrocopter to trade effectively at any stage.

This dynamic starts in the lane and continues throughout the game. Gyrocopter is forced into buying a very early Black King Bar, delaying his core damage items. Even with that, Zeus can often wait out the BKB duration while staying far in the backline, chipping away at Gyro's team. Gyrocopter’s main goal becomes finding a perfect initiation to burst Zeus before his own team gets picked apart, whereas Zeus simply has to exist and cast spells from safety to control the fight.
