Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Hoodwink wins the Hoodwink vs Monkey King matchup: Hoodwink beats Monkey King in 53.21% of 27,436 ranked matches.
Playing from the trees as Monkey King feels like a trap against Hoodwink. His primary mobility and setup tool, Tree Dance, lines him up perfectly for a Bushwhack stun. Since he has to be on a tree to use the ability, Hoodwink gets a guaranteed setup without even needing to aim. This neutralizes his attempts to land a big Primal Spring. Even if he manages to jump into a fight, a well-aimed Sharpshooter can apply break, disabling his Jingu Mastery right when he needs the damage and lifesteal to survive.
This dynamic forces Monkey King to play on the ground for most of the game, which severely limits his impact. He can't safely scout or initiate from the treeline. Hoodwink, on the other hand, can play with confidence, knowing she holds a direct counter to his engage. For Monkey King to have a good game, he needs to bait out Bushwhack on a different target or hope his team can lock Hoodwink down before he commits to a fight or uses Wukong's Command.
