Hoodwink vs Oracle

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a full Sharpshooter combo often feels impossible when Oracle is on the other team. His entire kit works to undo Hoodwink's burst damage. False Promise can completely absorb a point-blank ultimate, allowing a teammate to survive what should be a guaranteed kill. Even outside of his ultimate, a well-timed Fate's Edict can disarm Hoodwink and nullify her Acorn Shot damage, while Fortune's End can purge her Scurry active, leaving her slow and vulnerable. It really comes down to a battle of reflexes and who can bait out the other's key defensive spell first.

This tension defines the matchup from the mid-game onward. Hoodwink wants to play from the edges of the fight, using trees to set up a Bushwhack and delete a priority target. Oracle's job is to stay close to that target and be ready with an instant save. If Hoodwink can find Oracle himself first, or catch someone while his spells are on cooldown, she can secure a quick advantage. But if she misplays her combo or gets her Scurry dispelled, she’s often the one who ends up dying for it.
