Huskar vs Primal Beast

How this matchup plays

Trying to run down a low-health Huskar is tough for Primal Beast. Huskar's Berserker's Blood gives him a ton of magic resistance, which directly reduces the damage from Trample. This makes it difficult for Primal Beast to finish him off. Furthermore, a well-timed Inner Fire can knock Primal Beast back, canceling Trample completely and letting Huskar turn the fight with Burning Spears. Primal can't rely on his usual tactic of simply running an enemy over; he has to respect Huskar's ability to fight back.

The outcome of fights often depends on who gets the jump. If Primal Beast can land Onslaught and then chain it into his Pulverize ultimate, Huskar is completely locked down and can be killed by Primal’s team, regardless of his passives. But if Huskar initiates with Life Break, he can often melt Primal Beast before that lockdown is a factor. This makes vision and positioning critical for both heroes. The one who lands their initiation first usually dictates the fight, leading to a very even contest overall.
