Huskar vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Choosing one of these heroes into the other often feels like a deliberate coin flip. The entire matchup revolves around a direct clash of their core kits. Huskar relies on Inner Fire to disarm his opponent, which completely shuts down Ursa's physical burst from Overpower. He can also often control the engagement distance with his ranged attacks and Burning Spears. However, Ursa’s stacking physical damage from Fury Swipes completely ignores the high magic resistance Huskar gains at low life. This means if Ursa can connect, he has the right kind of damage to finish the job.

The actual fights are decided by execution and who gets the jump. An Ursa that can get on top of Huskar, perhaps with a Blink Dagger, and unload his attacks before getting disarmed will almost always win the duel. But if Huskar can kite effectively, wear Ursa down, and use Inner Fire at the right moment, the outcome is reversed. It often comes down to a single spell: Ursa using Enrage to purge the disarm, or Huskar landing his knockback first. The fight is so dependent on cooldowns and initiation that neither hero can feel confident going into it.
