Jakiro vs Medusa

How this matchup plays

Controlling Medusa's farm is the main goal, but Jakiro's kit struggles to make a lasting dent. Most of Jakiro’s damage comes from spells like Macropyre and Liquid Fire, which are damage-over-time effects. Medusa's Mana Shield is especially good at soaking this kind of gradual magic damage, allowing her to stand her ground and continue farming where other heroes would be forced back. At the same time, every Mystic Snake she lands strips away Jakiro's mana, limiting how often he can even cast his spells to try and harass her in the first place.

This means that during the laning stage, Jakiro can apply some pressure but rarely gets a kill, and Medusa usually finds the farm she needs. As the game progresses, Jakiro’s spells become even less of a direct threat to her personally. He’s forced to use Ice Path to set up for his own cores or to peel for his team, because his fire spells won't be enough to burn through Medusa’s defenses. Medusa can often ignore him and focus on hitting buildings or key targets, knowing Jakiro can't stop her alone.
