Juggernaut vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Juggernaut is difficult because he often dictates the pace of the game. His ability to clear creep waves and jungle camps with Blade Fury lets him build a gold lead, while Healing Ward keeps him healthy enough to stay out of the base. This allows Juggernaut to farm aggressively and apply pressure by split-pushing towers. Magnus, on the other hand, relies on grouping up and landing a decisive Reverse Polarity to win a teamfight. This core difference in strategy means Magnus is frequently forced to react to Juggernaut's movements, rather than setting up his own ideal plays.

Early in the game, Juggernaut can create a lead for himself by winning his lane, and he uses that advantage to accelerate his farm across the map. Magnus is then left with a difficult choice: either commit multiple heroes to hunt down a slippery Juggernaut, or group up and try to force a five-on-five engagement. The problem is that Juggernaut can often use Omnislash to pick off a support or even Magnus himself before a fight properly starts, turning a potential Reverse Polarity setup into a desperate scramble. Magnus needs the fight to happen on his terms, but Juggernaut is excellent at preventing that.
