Juggernaut vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Fighting a Juggernaut as Timbersaw feels like your entire kit has been disabled. Timbersaw relies on chipping away at enemies with a constant barrage of spells, but Juggernaut’s Blade Fury makes him completely immune to that damage while he closes the gap. Even Timbersaw’s defensive ability, Reactive Armor, is a poor fit here. It’s designed to build up against sustained physical attacks, but Juggernaut’s Omnislash delivers its damage in a giant burst, often killing Timbersaw before his armor can stack up. The Healing Ward also negates any poke damage Timbersaw manages to land between Blade Fury cooldowns.

This dynamic makes teamfights incredibly straightforward for Juggernaut. He can either spin and run straight past Timbersaw to attack the backline, or he can use Omnislash to remove the durable frontliner from the fight entirely. Timbersaw has almost no personal recourse; he can’t stop Omnislash, he can’t damage a spinning Juggernaut, and he can’t escape. His only hope is for teammates to provide stuns that pierce spell immunity. Juggernaut, on the other hand, can simply focus on his own farm, knowing he has a reliable way to neutralize a key enemy hero at all stages of the game.
