Legion Commander vs Medusa

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Medusa is a defining challenge for any Legion Commander. The outcome of a Duel is often a pure item check. If Legion Commander and her allies have enough damage to chew through Mana Shield and secure the kill, she snowballs and cripples Medusa's game. If they fail, Medusa likely survives the Duel duration, leaving Legion Commander stranded and vulnerable to a counter-attack, possibly turned to stone by Stone Gaze. It's a high-stakes play that can swing the game in either direction based on who is stronger at that exact moment.

This dynamic creates a constant tension across the map. Legion Commander wants to hit an early Blink Dagger timing and start pressuring a still-vulnerable Medusa, forcing fights to build her Duel damage.
