Legion Commander vs Oracle

How this matchup plays

Thinking Oracle automatically shuts down every Duel is a common trap. While False Promise can absolutely save a target, the interaction is much more of a knife fight. Legion Commander can instantly remove the disarm from Fate's Edict using Press the Attack, letting her continue to hit during Duel. Likewise, Oracle can purge away Press the Attack with his own abilities. This creates a back-and-forth where timing and spell usage decide the outcome of the fight, not the hero picks themselves. It's about who uses their spell second.

Early on, Oracle often has the upper hand, able to make Legion Commander's initiations awkward and her laning phase difficult. As the game progresses, the dynamic shifts. A farmed Legion Commander with a Blink Dagger looks to jump on a target when Oracle is out of position, or even target Oracle himself before he can cast his save. The entire match can hinge on vision control and which of these two heroes gets the jump on the other. Oracle plays to react and save, while Legion Commander plays to create a situation where no save is possible.
