Lich vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to keep Static Link on a target feels difficult when that target is covered by a Frost Shield. Razor wants to stay on top of an enemy to drain their damage and run them down, but Lich’s slows from multiple abilities make this a real chore. Even if Razor closes the gap, a well-timed Sinister Gaze can root him in place, breaking his momentum and leaving him vulnerable. This consistent, stacking control from Lich directly undermines Razor's game plan of being an aggressive front-liner who dictates the pace of a fight.

This pattern starts in the lane, where Frost Shield can protect Lich’s carry from being bullied. In teamfights, Lich’s slows and Chain Frost punish Razor for charging in. The matchup really hinges on Razor’s itemization, specifically a Black King Bar. Once he has one, he can ignore Lich’s spells for a short duration and do his job. This creates a cat-and-mouse game around BKB timing; Lich will try to kite or use his spells before it's activated, while Razor looks for a window to pop it and secure a critical Static Link.
