Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Lich wins the Lich vs Shadow Shaman matchup: Lich beats Shadow Shaman in 50.35% of 73,324 ranked matches.
Trying to lock down a core with Shackles feels terrible when a Lich is nearby. He can use Sinister Gaze to break the channel from a safe distance, or throw Frost Shield on the target to negate a lot of the follow-up damage. This makes Shadow Shaman's signature ganking pattern much less reliable. The matchup swings both ways, though. Shadow Shaman has an instant Hex to stop a key Chain Frost or prevent Lich from saving an ally. Both supports excel at controlling enemies and enabling their cores, but they also have the exact tools needed to disrupt each other's plans. It often comes down to positioning and who gets their spells off first.
