Lich vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump on a Lich can feel like a trap for Void Spirit. While Void is built to get in and out quickly, Lich has the instant tools to stop him. Frost Blast's immediate slow makes escaping harder, and a well-timed Sinister Gaze can pull Void Spirit right back into danger as he tries to Astral Step away. Chain Frost is also a major threat, as it can bounce between Void and his own Aether Remnant, or punish him for trying to burst a target next to a creep wave. Lich’s kit is fundamentally good at holding slippery heroes in place.

This matchup often comes down to who gets the jump first and who has their spells ready. A patient Void Spirit can bait out Lich’s abilities or wait for a teammate to initiate, leaving Lich vulnerable. Using Dissimilate to dodge the Chain Frost or Sinister Gaze can completely turn the fight. Conversely, if Lich anticipates Void Spirit's aggression, he can lock him down for an easy kill. The duel depends entirely on cooldowns and positioning, making it a very execution-based fight for both heroes.
