Lifestealer vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Using Rage lets Lifestealer ignore Reverse Polarity, which is the whole reason you pick Magnus. While the two heroes often combine Infest with Blink for a classic initiation, their kits clash hard when on opposite sides. Lifestealer's spell immunity simply nullifies Magnus's big teamfight ultimate. Even beyond that, Magnus naturally builds a lot of strength and health, which only makes him a better target for Feast. He becomes a big creep that can't reliably control the hero who's killing him.

This forces the Magnus player into a difficult spot all game. He can’t jump on Lifestealer, who is often the main threat, so he has to find a secondary target or wait out the spell immunity. Lifestealer can play aggressively, using Magnus as a free source of healing and damage in fights, knowing the biggest stun can't touch him. The game becomes a frustrating exercise for Magnus, who has to try and play around a core mechanic that Lifestealer gets to use on a pretty short cooldown.
