Lifestealer vs Mars

How this matchup plays

Trying to trap Lifestealer inside Arena of Blood feels awful. Mars thinks he has his target pinned, but Lifestealer’s Rage makes him immune to the stun from Spear of Mars and lets him walk right through the arena wall. All of Mars's control abilities become useless. Worse, the tankier Mars gets, the harder Lifestealer hits him because of Feast. Building health to survive only makes you a more appetizing target for Lifestealer, who can’t be kited or controlled once he decides to commit to a fight.

This leaves Mars with no good options across the game. In teamfights, he is forced to either use his ultimate on other heroes, leaving a raging Lifestealer free to attack his team, or trap Lifestealer and watch him casually walk away or turn the fight. The entire dynamic forces Mars to play reactively, hoping to bait out Rage before he can contribute his spells effectively. Lifestealer, on the other hand, can play aggressively, knowing the enemy’s big teamfight spell is a non-issue for him.
