Lifestealer vs Phantom Assassin

How this matchup plays

Believing Lifestealer is a natural counter here is a common trap. While Rage does block the initial Stifling Dagger slow and prevents some of Phantom Assassin's spell-based burst, the fight is physical. Phantom Assassin's Blur provides high evasion, which Lifestealer struggles against until he can afford a Monkey King Bar, which is often a late purchase. This creates a standoff where Rage blocks PA's control, but Blur blocks Lifestealer's damage. The entire duel hinges on whether Rage can be baited or if Lifestealer can break her evasion before she can disengage and reset.

The game becomes a duel of timings and initiation. Lifestealer is stronger early and can try to shut down Phantom Assassin's farm. As the game progresses, PA can pick her fights, waiting for Lifestealer to use Rage on a support before she jumps him. Lifestealer's plan is the opposite: catch Phantom Assassin, force the fight, and sustain through her damage with Feast. Victory often goes to the carry with the better BKB timing, superior team support to provide lockdown, or simply better vision to get the jump.
