Lifestealer vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Timbersaw becomes much easier with a Lifestealer on your team. Timbersaw's plan is to build a massive health pool and stack Reactive Armor to become an unkillable front-line nuisance. Lifestealer's Feast, however, deals damage based on the target's maximum health, turning Timbersaw's main strength into a liability. It effectively bypasses the armor stacking that Timbersaw relies on to survive physical damage. Furthermore, Timbersaw's main damage output is magical, which Lifestealer can completely ignore for a few seconds by using Rage. This combination neuters both the defensive and offensive threat Timbersaw poses in a straight-up fight.

From the mid-game onward, this advantage becomes very clear. Lifestealer can actively hunt Timbersaw, using Rage to close the gap and negate any return burst. A Timbersaw that can’t stay on the front line is a hero that can’t create space or pressure towers, crippling his team's strategy. The Timbersaw player is forced into a reactive game, relying heavily on Timber Chain for escapes and hoping his allies can peel Lifestealer off. Meanwhile, the Lifestealer has a clear, high-value target to focus whenever a fight breaks out, simplifying his own game plan considerably.
