Lifestealer vs Storm Spirit

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can kite a Lifestealer with spells is a common mistake. Storm Spirit relies on magical damage and control from abilities like Electric Vortex to lock down and burst targets. Lifestealer’s Rage makes him completely immune to all of this. While Storm is trying to land his combo, Lifestealer is running at him, unaffected, and ready to apply his own slows and heavy physical damage. Storm Spirit’s mobility from Ball Lightning costs a lot of mana, and if he’s forced to use it defensively to escape a magic-immune Lifestealer, he quickly runs out of resources and becomes an easy kill.

Across the game, this dynamic forces Storm Spirit to play cautiously. He can’t confidently jump into a fight if Lifestealer is nearby, as his primary escape and control tools are neutralized. Lifestealer, on the other hand, can play very aggressively. He can force Storm to back off from objectives or even dive past the frontline to kill him. Storm's main strategy becomes avoiding Lifestealer at all costs, but Lifestealer can build items like an Abyssal Blade to gain lockdown that goes through magic immunity, shutting down Storm's escape for good.
