Lifestealer vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Lifestealer usually fails completely. Tinker relies on Laser's blind and a constant barrage of magical damage to control enemies from a safe distance. Lifestealer's Rage makes him immune to all of it. He can walk through Tinker's spells, ignore the Laser's miss chance, and close the distance without being kited. Once Lifestealer gets on top of a fragile hero like Tinker, there is very little that can be done to get him off before his target is dead.

This dynamic forces Tinker to play an incredibly reactive and fearful game. Instead of setting the tempo by pushing out lanes, he is constantly at risk of getting jumped by a Lifestealer using Infest on a ganking ally or a simple Blink Dagger. This pressure starts early and forces Tinker to buy defensive items that slow down his own impact. Lifestealer is excellent at isolating a key target and ignoring the rest of the team's peel, often securing the kill on Tinker before Rage even ends.
