Lifestealer vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a target with Aether Remnant is often how Void Spirit wants to start a fight, but this plan falls apart against Lifestealer. Activating Rage allows Lifestealer to walk right through the control and shrug off the follow-up magic damage. This interaction fundamentally changes how Void Spirit has to approach him. Instead of bursting Lifestealer down, he is forced to use Dissimilate and Astral Step purely for escape. Lifestealer doesn't have a natural way to hold Void Spirit in place, but his immunity to Void's main tools gives him a clear advantage in a direct engagement.

Across the game, this dynamic means Void Spirit must play with caution. He has to respect Lifestealer's threat and can't commit his spells until Rage is on cooldown. His goal becomes staying on the edges of fights, using his mobility to poke at other targets and avoid a head-on confrontation. Lifestealer's game plan is the opposite: close the distance and force the issue while Rage is active, knowing Void can't stop him. The fight leans in Lifestealer's favor if he can force this engagement, but Void's elusiveness often prevents that from happening easily.
