Lifestealer vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Pressing Rage makes Lifestealer immune to nearly everything Zeus wants to do. Since all of Zeus's damage is magical, Lifestealer can simply activate his spell immunity and run straight at him, taking no damage while closing the gap. This completely negates Zeus's primary contribution in a fight, which is bursting down a target from a safe distance. Even outside of Rage, Lifestealer's high health pool and lifesteal from Feast make him a resilient target who can often survive the initial magical volley and heal back up by attacking.

This dynamic forces Zeus to play reactively for the entire game. He needs to position himself extremely far back in fights and rely heavily on teammates to provide lockdown or save him with items. A good Lifestealer will make finding Zeus his main objective, either by running straight at him or using Infest on an initiator to get a surprise jump. For Zeus, buying a Force Staff or Ghost Scepter becomes almost mandatory to create space and survive the duration of Rage, but if his team can't peel, he's often a dead hero.
