How this matchup plays

Controlling the game's pace is a huge problem for a team with Timbersaw against Luna. Her Moon Glaives let her clear ancient stacks and push waves so efficiently that she consistently pulls ahead on net worth. When it's time to fight, Timbersaw's main defensive tool, Reactive Armor, offers no protection from Luna's magical burst. He can have full armor stacks from taking damage and still get completely melted by a single Eclipse, making him much less of a durable front-liner in this specific matchup.

This dynamic leaves Timbersaw in a difficult position. He wants to get in close and cause chaos with his spells, but Luna can group with her team and push objectives. If he tries to Timber Chain into a fight, he becomes an obvious target for that Eclipse and often can't survive its duration. His escape routes can even be accidentally destroyed by Luna's bouncing glaives clearing the trees he needs. Timbersaw's team must win their other lanes so decisively that Luna never gets the space she needs to come online.
