How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other often hinges on your team's ability to control the game's tempo. Luna has a significant advantage in the mid-game thanks to her magic burst. An early Eclipse is often all it takes to kill Terrorblade from full health before he can get Sunder off, especially if he hasn't bought a Black King Bar yet. Beyond that, Luna's Moon Glaives clear out Terrorblade's Conjure Image illusions almost instantly, slowing down his farm and making it much harder for him to split-push the map safely.

This creates a clear window where Luna can dictate the pace. Her team will want to force fights to leverage her ultimate, while Terrorblade's team must play defensively and try to create space for him to farm. If Terrorblade can survive this period and secure his core items, the tables can turn. A late-game Terrorblade with Metamorphosis can out-damage a Luna in a direct fight, and his Reflection ability becomes very dangerous against her bouncing attacks, which is why the initial advantage is only a slight one.
