Luna vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Luna with the full Avalanche and Toss combo is where Tiny's whole game plan falls apart. His strength is deleting a single target with magic damage, but Luna's core item build almost always includes a Black King Bar, which makes her immune to his entire initiation. Even without it, she builds enough raw stats to survive the initial burst. Once his spells are used, Tiny is left standing next to a carry that melts him with high physical damage. A well-timed Eclipse can also completely turn his aggression around, punishing him for getting close.

This forces the Tiny player to try and snowball hard during the mid-game, hoping to shut Luna down before she gets her key items. The issue is that Luna farms very quickly and has high base movement speed, making her tough to lock down. As soon as she has one or two major items, she can stand her ground. In later teamfights, Tiny might be able to remove one hero, but Luna’s Moon Glaives will be bouncing through his whole team, and her sustained damage output far outclasses his one-shot potential.
