Luna vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Fighting into a farmed Luna can be a problem for Tusk. His goal is to find a pickoff with Snowball and Walrus Punch, but Luna's ability to clear waves with Moon Glaives often keeps her away from the most dangerous parts of the map. She naturally farms fast, which gives her a direct path to items like a Black King Bar. Once she has spell immunity, Tusk's initiation becomes much less threatening, as he can't lock her down or burst her before she can react with Eclipse or simply right-click him down.

The early game still matters, and a successful gank from Tusk can set Luna back significantly. He relies on controlling the tempo and creating kills before she gets her core items. Luna, on the other hand, wants to avoid Tusk until her BKB is ready. She uses her team as a buffer and positions herself carefully in fights. If Tusk fails to end the game early, he often finds that his window for killing a full-strength Luna has closed, leaving him with few good targets in a teamfight.
