How this matchup plays

Trying to fight into Venomancer's slows and damage-over-time is a nightmare for most carries, and Luna is no exception. His kit is designed to make it impossible for you to stand and fight. The main difference is that Luna’s typical item build is a direct answer to his whole plan. Once she has a Black King Bar, she can ignore his magical damage and slows entirely for a short window. A Manta Style also provides a key dispel for his Gale. Luna has the tools to create moments where Venomancer’s spells do nothing, allowing her to run him over with her high physical damage.

This matchup often comes down to timings. Venomancer can make the laning stage very difficult for Luna, potentially delaying her core items and creating a lot of pressure with his team. If he can leverage that early advantage, he can make the game very hard. However, if Luna can survive the lane and hit her BKB timing, the tables turn. She can start forcing fights and bursting key targets, with Venomancer often being the first to die. Luna has a clearer path to winning mid-game teamfights, but she has to get there first.
