Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Shadow Shaman wins the Lycan vs Shadow Shaman matchup: Shadow Shaman beats Lycan in 51.70% of 9,448 ranked matches.
Trying to take an objective with Shapeshift is a huge risk when a Shadow Shaman is on the map. Lycan relies on that ultimate to create pressure and force down towers, but Shadow Shaman’s lockdown is a perfect answer. A quick Hex is all it takes to stop Lycan in his tracks, leaving him and his summons exposed and vulnerable. Even if he survives the initial disable, a follow-up Shackles will pin him down for an eternity. Since Lycan’s entire game revolves around these powerful, timed pushes, having one hero who can so easily nullify his biggest strength makes it incredibly hard to execute his strategy and control the game's tempo.
