How this matchup plays

Fighting into a Razor can be tricky because he wants to find a single target and drain them with Static Link. Magnus, however, is all about repositioning and locking down multiple heroes at once. The entire fight can pivot on whether Magnus lands a good Reverse Polarity before Razor can get his link established on a key core. If Magnus blinks in and catches Razor, the fight is usually won. On the other hand, Razor's high movement speed makes him a difficult target to line up for a Skewer, letting him stay at the edge of the fight, waiting for an opening to run someone down.

This matchup often comes down to key item timings and vision. A Magnus with an early Blink Dagger can dictate the pace of the mid-game, forcing Razor to play defensively. But once Razor has items to help him survive a stun, like a Black King Bar, he can be much more aggressive. Success really depends on who gets the jump. Magnus's team wants to find Razor isolated for a pick-off, while Razor's team wants to spread out to minimize the impact of Reverse Polarity and give him space to control the battlefield.
