Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Shadow Shaman wins the Magnus vs Shadow Shaman matchup: Shadow Shaman beats Magnus in 52.99% of 69,984 ranked matches.
Picking Magnus into a potential Shadow Shaman feels like a huge gamble. Shaman's whole purpose is to lock down single targets, and that's exactly what Magnus becomes when he tries to initiate. Your plan is to Blink in, land Reverse Polarity, and Skewer someone important. Shadow Shaman foils this at every step. His Hex is an instant disable that can catch you before the RP ever goes off. Even if you land a perfect stun, he can immediately use Shackles to prevent the Skewer follow-up, leaving you stranded in the middle of their team. The Mass Serpent Wards will then melt you while you're held down, making the trade disastrous.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
