Magnus vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Landing a big Reverse Polarity is Magnus's whole game plan, but Void Spirit is one of the hardest targets to pin down. With Dissimilate, he can often dodge the stun entirely if his reactions are sharp. He can also use his portals to escape a Skewer or simply reposition to avoid the initial Blink-in. On the other hand, if Magnus does catch him, Void Spirit is extremely fragile and will die instantly to the follow-up. It's a pure reaction test where Void Spirit has the defensive tools, but Magnus only needs to connect once.

This dynamic makes teamfights tricky. Void Spirit can't play too aggressively until he knows where Magnus is and whether Reverse Polarity has been used. He has to poke from the outside and wait for his moment. For Magnus, deciding whether to use his ultimate on other key targets or hold it for the slippery Void Spirit is a tough call. Ultimately, neither hero really shuts the other down. They mostly play around each other, with the better-positioned player gaining an edge in any given fight.
