Medusa vs Night Stalker

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a full-mana Medusa is often a losing proposition, even for an aggressive hero. Her Mana Shield soaks up a huge amount of damage. The advantage for Night Stalker isn't about one-shotting her, but about sustained pressure and resource drain, especially at night. A well-timed Crippling Fear is key, as it prevents Medusa from using Mystic Snake to replenish her mana pool. Without that mana, her tankiness disappears quickly. While Night Stalker may struggle to kill her solo, he excels at isolating her from her team or picking off the supports trying to protect her farm.

The matchup becomes a race against the clock. During the day, Medusa can farm relatively freely, but once night falls, Night Stalker starts hunting. His team's goal is to shrink the map, control the jungle, and force Medusa to abandon farm. If he can repeatedly disrupt her and force her back to base, his team can build a lead. Medusa's side needs to play defensively at night, provide good vision, and get her to her core items. A farmed Medusa can often stand her ground, using Stone Gaze to counter his aggressive initiations and turn the fight around completely.
