How this matchup plays

Trying to farm up on Medusa can be a constant struggle with a Spirit Breaker on the map. His Charge of Darkness is a global threat that can interrupt her farming patterns and force her into defensive positions, slowing down her item timing significantly. This pressure can make it hard for her to reach her powerful late-game state. However, Medusa is not helpless. Her Mana Shield makes her deceptively durable against the initial burst, and Stone Gaze is a direct, fight-winning counter if she can turn to face him before he connects with his stun.

The game often comes down to timing and execution. Spirit Breaker's team wants to leverage his early aggression to take objectives and build a lead while Medusa is still vulnerable. On the other side, Medusa’s team has to play protect-the-carry, stacking camps and providing vision to keep her safe. If Spirit Breaker's ganks fail or if he charges into a prepared team, he's the one who feeds away an advantage. If Medusa survives the early game, she can eventually stand her ground, and his initiations become far less effective against a tanky, petrifying carry.
