Mirana vs Phantom Lancer

How this matchup plays

Hitting the real Phantom Lancer with a Sacred Arrow is nearly impossible once he's generating illusions. An arrow that could set him up for a kill on the same team is instead absorbed by a random copy when they're on opposite sides. This neutralizes Mirana’s primary form of catch. Even if she lands a perfect stun, Phantom Lancer can often dispel it with Doppelganger. Starstorm provides a bit of AoE to clear illusions, but it's not a real solution when he can create them faster than she can cast.

Mirana has to apply pressure very early, using her magic burst to try and shut down Phantom Lancer before he gets his key items. If she can't secure a lead for her team by the mid-game, the tables turn completely. Phantom Lancer starts to actively hunt her, using Phantom Rush to close gaps and burn her mana with his illusions. Mirana is forced to play far behind her team, unable to contribute much as she lacks the sustained damage or control needed to handle his overwhelming army.
