Mirana vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Expecting Mirana to simply Leap away from danger is where this matchup gets tricky. While Leap is great for dodging Paralyzing Cask, it does little against a well-placed Maledict. The curse follows her, amplifying all damage and often securing a kill even after she disengages. On the other side, a single Sacred Arrow from fog is all it takes to interrupt a channeling Death Ward and completely neutralize Witch Doctor's teamfight impact. The entire interaction comes down to who lands their key spell first, creating a very balanced duel of skillshots and positioning.

Throughout the game, both heroes are actively hunting each other. A successful Arrow on Witch Doctor before a fight can create a massive opening for Mirana's team. Conversely, a fight that starts with Mirana caught by Maledict usually means she's dead, taking away her team's own initiation and damage. Fights often feel like a race to see which of them can find and disable the other first. Whoever gets caught out of position and has their main threat neutralized first usually watches their team lose the ensuing engagement.
