Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Outworld Destroyer wins the Monkey King vs Outworld Destroyer matchup: Outworld Destroyer beats Monkey King in 58.55% of 25,335 ranked matches.
Committing to a Monkey King pick makes the draft vulnerable to an Outworld Destroyer. The matchup is fundamentally broken by Astral Imprisonment. When Monkey King uses Wukong's Command, Outworld Destroyer can simply banish him for a significant duration, completely wasting the cooldown. While Monkey King is banished, his soldiers are useless and the enemy team can easily reposition or kill his allies. Even in lane, any attempt to build up Jingu Mastery stacks can be reset by a well-timed Astral, removing all of MK's trading power. This dynamic holds true for the entire game, as Outworld Destroyer always has a simple, low-cooldown answer to Monkey King's most important spells.
