Monkey King vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Jumping on Puck seems simple for a hero like Monkey King, but the reality is more complicated. Puck's `Phase Shift` is a fantastic tool for dodging `Boundless Strike` and buying time for `Illusory Orb` to escape. The short silence from `Waning Rift` can also stop Monkey King from building up `Jingu Mastery` stacks. This interaction goes both ways, however. If Monkey King can initiate from the trees and land his stun before Puck reacts, the faerie dragon is often too fragile to survive the follow-up damage.

This dynamic creates a game of constant outplays. Both heroes are strong initiators who want to control the tempo, so vision and positioning become critical. Puck will try to use `Dream Coil` to kite and control the area inside `Wukong's Command`, while Monkey King will look for item timings like a Black King Bar to ignore Puck's spells entirely and secure a kill. The fight often comes down to who gets the jump and executes their combo first, making neither hero a reliable counter to the other.
