Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Monkey King wins the Monkey King vs Shadow Demon matchup: Monkey King beats Shadow Demon in 51.21% of 5,759 ranked matches.
Playing as Shadow Demon means having to constantly watch the trees. Monkey King's mobility allows him to choose his target, and a slow support like Shadow Demon is often the first to die. While Disruption is a powerful save against a Jingu Mastery combination on an ally, it's much weaker when used on Monkey King himself. The illusions it creates don't get his passive and are little more than a nuisance. This leaves SD struggling to contain the chaos of a full Wukong's Command, as his single-target spells are simply overwhelmed. Monkey King can usually find the right angle to start a fight that Shadow Demon can't finish.
