Monkey King vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Picking Monkey King into a Warlock is a tricky decision because his signature spells create the exact situations Warlock wants to see. Wukong's Command traps everyone in a circle with a crowd of soldiers, which is an ideal setup for Fatal Bonds. Linking all those units means any damage gets amplified and reflected back, often melting Monkey King himself inside his own ultimate. Beyond that, Chaotic Offering's wide area stun is a reliable way to interrupt Monkey King’s ultimate channel, and the Golem it summons becomes a massive problem for a team trying to hold its ground.

The matchup often feels fine for Monkey King in the early game, but teamfights get progressively harder. Warlock can simply hold his spells and wait for MK to commit. The moment Wukong's Command comes down, it becomes a beacon for Warlock to drop his entire kit and turn the fight. To succeed, the Monkey King has to play patiently, looking for pickoffs or trying to bait out a key spell like Fatal Bonds before he goes in.
