Morphling vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to drain a Morphling with Static Link often feels like a losing battle. Morphling has two simple escapes: he can Waveform away to instantly break the tether, or shift his attributes heavily into strength to survive the drain. This makes it difficult for Razor to secure a solo kill without additional lockdown from his team. If the link fails, Morphling is free to turn the fight with his own high burst damage from Adaptive Strike once he shifts back to agility, putting the pressure right back onto Razor.

The matchup's outcome usually depends on who hits their item timings first. Razor tends to have a much stronger laning phase, using his damage drain to control the lane and suppress Morphling's farm. However, the game can pivot sharply once Morphling gets his core items. At that point, he can often find and eliminate Razor before Static Link is even a factor. Later teamfights become a duel of initiation; a successful jump from either hero can decide the fight, making this a genuinely balanced and volatile contest from start to finish.
