Naga Siren vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Seeing a field of illusions can make it seem like Witch Doctor has a massive advantage. His Paralyzing Cask gets its full value, using up all its bounces on Naga Siren's copies to find and stun the real hero for a long duration. Death Ward also clears the fakes quickly. This all depends on finding the right target, though. On the flip side, Naga's Song of the Siren is one of the most reliable counters to a channeled Death Ward. She can instantly stop the damage to save her team or reset the fight, turning a bad situation around completely.

The game often becomes a question of vision and reaction time. Witch Doctor can be a real threat in the lane and try to shut Naga Siren down early. If Naga gets through that phase, her split-pushing forces the Witch Doctor's team to react to her, creating space. Late-game fights then hinge on a single moment. If Witch Doctor can land Maledict on the real Naga and survive long enough to channel his ultimate, she dies. If Naga sleeps his team before he can commit, his whole combo is wasted and his team is left vulnerable.
