Oracle vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target down is Slark's whole game, but Oracle has a strong set of tools to disrupt it. A well-placed Fortune's End can purge key buffs and hold Slark in place, while Fate's Edict can disarm him entirely. The ultimate counter is False Promise, which makes it nearly impossible for Slark to secure a quick kill on a core during Shadow Dance. However, Slark isn't helpless; a correctly timed Dark Pact can dispel the root, and his mobility allows him to easily find and kill a misplaced Oracle before he can react.

As Slark hits his stride and begins hunting across the map, the game becomes a test of positioning. Oracle has to play from the back lines, staying out of Pounce range but close enough to save whoever Slark targets. A successful gank for Slark often means catching Oracle first. Later on, item choices like a Nullifier for Slark can swing the advantage by disabling Oracle's saves, but until then, the fight often depends on which of these two executes their role better.
