Oracle vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a slippery Weaver becomes more manageable with an Oracle on the other team. Oracle’s kit offers several ways to deal with Weaver's aggression. The root and purge from Fortune's End can strip Shukuchi’s haste and lock Weaver down, while also revealing him. This is often enough to secure a kill. Even if Weaver gets the jump on an ally, a quick Fate's Edict can disarm him, neutralizing his right-click damage. For bigger engagements, False Promise completely spoils Weaver’s attempts to burst down a key target, buying enough time for a counter-attack.

This dynamic means Weaver can’t play as aggressively as he’d like. He has to constantly be aware of Oracle’s position and cooldowns, often trying to bait out a key spell before committing to a fight. A good Weaver can still play around this by using Time Lapse to dodge a spell or remove the root, or by waiting for Oracle to use his abilities elsewhere. For the Oracle player, it’s a game of patience, holding spells specifically for Weaver. The advantage is real but not overwhelming; if Weaver gets ahead on farm, he can still kill targets before Oracle has a chance to react.
