How this matchup plays

Facing Razor head-on is a dangerous proposition for a physical damage carry. His Static Link can drain away all of Phantom Assassin's attack damage, leaving her unable to land a critical strike that matters. If he gets a full link off, she can't fight him or anyone else effectively. However, the matchup isn't that simple. Phantom Assassin's Blur gives her a high amount of evasion, making it difficult for Razor to chip her down with his own attacks, even stolen ones. She can also use Phantom Strike on a farther target like a creep or support to instantly break the link's tether.

This back-and-forth defines the matchup across the game. A successful Phantom Assassin will avoid a direct duel with Razor, instead looking for openings on other heroes or waiting for him to be controlled by her teammates. A successful Razor will try to position himself to intercept PA's engages and apply his link before she can burst a key target.
