Phantom Lancer vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst the right hero is central to how Tiny plays, but Phantom Lancer makes that nearly impossible. Tiny wants to isolate one target with Toss and follow up with his damage combo. Against a screen full of Juxtapose illusions, he’s often forced to guess, wasting his entire spell rotation on a fake. A quick Doppelganger from Phantom Lancer can also completely dodge the incoming burst, leaving Tiny with long cooldowns and no way to defend himself as the real Lancer and his army close in.

This dynamic only gets worse for Tiny as the game progresses. Phantom Lancer wants to create chaos and overwhelm single-target heroes, and Tiny has no effective way to clear the illusion swarm. Once PL has items that let him stick to a target, he can run at Tiny, burn his mana, and isolate him from his team. Tiny is forced to rely on his allies to provide the area-of-effect lockdown and damage needed to find the real Lancer, a task that becomes harder the more farmed Phantom Lancer gets.
