Pugna vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Controlling the flow of a teamfight is what this matchup comes down to. Pugna has two direct answers to Razor's game plan. Nether Ward punishes Razor for using his spells to farm and fight, and a well-timed Decrepify can save a teammate from being run down by Static Link and physical attacks. However, Pugna himself is an easy target for that same Static Link. If Razor gets on top of him, Pugna loses his damage and has a very hard time getting away. It's a standoff where each hero directly undermines the other's core strength.

This tension defines the game from the laning stage onward. Fights become about which hero's team can better protect them and disable their counterpart. Razor will want to close the distance, kill the Ward, and focus Pugna down. Pugna needs to position carefully at the back, ready to react with Decrepify and stay out of link range. Late-game items can tip the scales, with Razor often building a Black King Bar to ignore Pugna's interference, while Pugna builds for mobility and survival. The outcome often depends on which hero executes their plan first.
